Accessibility Statement
We want you to be able to use our website without obstacles – whether you navigate with a mouse, with the keyboard alone, with magnification or with a screen reader. This statement describes the actual state of things: what we have implemented and checked ourselves, what we deliberately disclose because it has not been tested, and how you can report a barrier to us. It is neither advertising nor a declaration of conformity, but an honest inventory.
Which pages this statement covers
This statement applies to the website hochzeitsdruckwerk.com with all of its subpages, information pages and the configurator.
We use the same technical basis for our other sites www.hochzeitsdruckwerk.at, hochzeitsdruckwerk.de and porocnitisk.si. The technical implementation there is identical; we have not separately tested those domains.
The payment process is not covered by this statement: for payment you are redirected to a checkout page hosted by our payment service provider Stripe at checkout.stripe.com. We have no influence on how that page is built or on how it can be operated; Stripe is responsible for it. We have not tested that page for accessibility ourselves.
The standard we aim for
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA. This is also the technical benchmark referred to by the European standard EN 301 549.
Important for putting this into perspective: WCAG 2.1 AA is our goal, not a result confirmed by anyone outside our business. There is no external audit and no certificate for this website. We therefore expressly do not claim that the site is fully conformant, and we do not advertise it as "accessible" or "barrier-free" (German: "barrierefrei").
What we have implemented and checked ourselves
The following points have been implemented by us. Where we have specifically checked them, we say so explicitly – for the rest, this describes our aim, not yet a complete check of our own:
- Semantic structure: As a rule, we build the website with genuine HTML elements instead of purely visual imitations – heading hierarchy, landmark regions, lists and labelled form fields. This is the basis that allows screen readers and other assistive technology to convey the structure in the first place. A page-by-page detailed review of this structure is still outstanding.
- Accessible cookie dialogue: We have specifically checked this dialogue with the keyboard. It can be fully operated with the keyboard, has a focus trap, closes with Escape, returns focus afterwards to the element that opened it, and carries the corresponding markup for assistive technology on its switches (role, aria-checked, aria-label). Based on our review, it is not an obstacle that blocks access to the site.
- Responsive display at 375 pixels width: We have checked the cookie dialogue and the homepage at a width of 375 pixels and found them to work correctly. This also covers use with strong magnification on the desktop. We have not yet systematically checked the remaining subpages at this width.
- Contrast in light and dark mode: The website has a light and a dark presentation that follows your device's system setting. For our muted body-text colour – the design variable used for, among others, help texts and secondary texts – we measured the contrast against the respective background: 6.17:1 in light mode and 6.21:1 in dark mode. WCAG 2.1 AA requires at least 4.5:1 for normal body text. This measurement relates to this one text colour; we have not yet checked the contrast of every other colour combination on the website.
- Alternative text for images: As a rule, we provide images with alternative text. Our product images are AI-generated mood images and are labelled as such. Whether this has been implemented without gaps on every single page has not yet been fully checked by us.
- Few external sources of interference: We do not use any analytics, marketing or tracking services, we do not embed maps, videos or social media content, and we serve fonts from our own domain. As a result there are no third-party overlays, no unexpected focus jumps and no unlabelled third-party content that would be outside our control.
What we have not tested – and where the limits are
We state this openly so that you know what you can rely on and what you cannot:
- A complete review of every page, state and piece of content for accessibility is still outstanding. So far we have specifically checked the cookie dialogue, the homepage (including at a width of 375 pixels), and the contrast of our muted text colour in light and dark mode.
- There is no complete external audit. The assessment is our own. No independent audit, test report or certificate exists.
- We have not tested the website with actual assistive technology. No testing with common screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver) or with voice input, a braille display or similar tools has taken place. Our screen reader labels are therefore set to the best of our knowledge, but have not been verified in practical use.
- There is no content in Österreichische Gebärdensprache (ÖGS, Austrian Sign Language) and no version in Leichte Sprache (the German-language easy-to-read plain language standard).
- The payment process on Stripe's checkout page has not been tested by us.
- We cannot rule out that individual pages, states or error messages contain barriers that we have not noticed so far. Experience shows that self-assessment does not find everything.
This list is not a free pass. It describes what we are continuing to work on.
Reporting barriers – how to reach us
If you encounter a barrier on our website, tell us. Every specific report helps us more than any self-assessment.
Email: michaeljoebst87@gmail.com Telephone: 0660 4736784 (from outside Austria: +43 660 4736784) Post: Michael Jöbstl, Puchstrasse 145, 8054 Graz, Austria
What helps us – as far as you are able and willing to provide it: - the address (URL) of the page concerned, - what you were trying to do there and what prevented it, - what you are using (device, browser, assistive technology in use).
If content on the website is not accessible to you, write to us and tell us what information you need. We will then make it available to you in another way, for example as text by email.
Legal framework and how we position ourselves
The European Accessibility Act – Directive (EU) 2019/882 – has been implemented in Austria by the Barrierefreiheitsgesetz (BaFG, the Austrian Accessibility Act), BGBl. I Nr. 76/2023 (Austrian Federal Law Gazette I No. 76/2023). For electronic commerce services, and therefore also for online shops, the requirements have applied since 28 June 2025.
This website is operated by an Austrian Einzelunternehmen (a sole proprietorship under Austrian law) based in Graz, Austria (see contact details above).
The Act provides for an exemption: under § 6 Abs. 1 BaFG (Section 6 para. 1 of the Austrian Accessibility Act), microenterprises providing services are exempt from the accessibility requirements. A microenterprise is a business with fewer than 10 employees whose annual turnover or annual balance sheet total does not exceed EUR 2 million (Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC). Whether the thresholds that matter here are met in our case has not yet been conclusively documented internally; whether the exemption therefore ultimately applies still needs to be clarified by qualified assessment.
Two things matter to us here:
First: we do not use this possible exemption as a reason to do nothing. The measures described above have been implemented regardless of it, because a website that cannot be operated fails its purpose.
Second: this statement is not a declaration of conformity (Konformitätserklärung) under the BaFG and not evidence of compliance with EN 301 549. It describes the actual state of things and nothing more. Any broader claim would be misleading – and we want that neither in legal terms nor towards you.
Status of this statement
This statement reflects the state of things as at our most recently conducted internal review on 17 September 2026. We revise it whenever the structure, functions or test results of the website change – and likewise whenever your feedback points us to matters that are missing here.
